Infra.Market, backed by Tiger Global, plans to raise $1 billion through an IPO, targeting a valuation of up to $5 billion. The startup aims for a Diwali listing, with draft IPO papers to be filed by June. Despite market conditions, the company is on track, with Tiger Global and Accel as major shareholders.

Delhivery is acquiring Ecom Express for ₹1,407 crore in an all-cash deal, marking a significant consolidation in the logistics sector. This move follows challenges faced by Ecom Express, which had to stall its public listing plans and lay off hundreds of employees.

New-age tech IPOs are benefiting from bullish stock market sentiments after a three-year lull. This year has seen nearly Rs 15,000 crore raised through IPOs, the best since 2021. Six startups including Ola Electric and FirstCry have gone public, raising a combined Rs 14,571 crore. A slew of startups like Zepto and PhysicsWallah are eyeing market debut in the coming year.

It can be noted that there have been concerns about investors, especially the unsuspecting retail ones, being taken for a ride due to high valuations sought by new-age tech companies. The share price of payment platform Paytm collapsed to a third of the IPO issue price within a few weeks of listing.

The recent IPOs of Zomato, Paytm, PB Fintech, Nykaa, Delhivery, and Mamaearth have shown varied performance in the public markets. While Paytm's valuation has dropped, other new-age firms have mostly maintained or increased their market capitalization. Many internet stocks have reached 52-week highs, indicating renewed investor interest. However, challenges persist, such as Paytm's business scaling down and its potential impact on the company's turnaround. Additionally, most listed startups are currently trading below their peak valuations at the time of IPO.

Online food delivery platform Zomato's Rs 9,375-crore initial public offering has seen a new set of investors coming into the capital market and there is a visible shift in consumer behaviour, a senior official of Paytm Money said on Thursday.
