Oklahoma City Thunder are back on track as they secure a
massive win in Game 2 of the
NBA Finals against
the Indiana Pacers. After an unexpected loss in the last minute of Game 1, a win was much needed for the Thunder to reestablish their run for the championship trophy. The Thunder managed to pull off a safe win with the final score being 123-107.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander becomes the highest scorer, leads the team to dominate Indiana Pacers with a massive win
Star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to their first win in the 2025 NBA Finals with a massive score of 34 points, becoming the highest scorer of the match. On the Indiana Pacers’ part, Tyrese Haliburton scored the highest within the team with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, followed by Myles Turner. Haliburton, who led the Pacers to their victory in Game 1 with a stunning 2-point dunk, had a relatively silent night in Game 2 and failed to showcase the same magic as in the previous match.
Gilgeous-Alexander once again proved his skills, maintaining the status of the highest scorer, leading his team to dominate the Pacers from the start. Seems like the team learned from their first Finals appearance and improved their gameplay in several aspects. The Thunder made it to the free-throw line quite a few times and scored several 3-pointers, more in number than in Game 1. Gilgeous-Alexander himself shot 11 of 12 from the free-throw line.
Alex Caruso, who is known for his unique headband celebration, showed a stunning performance with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist, followed by Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren.
Unfortunately for the Indiana Pacers, the team could not build on the massive comeback win in Game 1 of the Finals series. The Pacers trailed by a huge margin in the last 38 minutes of the game and could never take a lead by more than 3 points throughout the match.
