Virat Kohli's resemblance to Turkish actor stirs internet; Fans say Anushka Sharma will not recognise him because of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'

Turkish actor Cavit Çetin Güner’s pictures are going viral on the internet due to an amusing resemblance to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. One Reddit user shared a screenshot from the Turkish historical drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul, featuring Cavit Çetin Güner.
The Reddit user posted the picture with the caption, "Anushka Sharma’s husband's TV show debut," and it quickly grabbed attention. In the picture, Cavit’s character is seen wearing a hat, holding something in his hands, and striking an amusing look at someone. The resemblance was uncanny.

Many users were amused by how closely the actor resembled Kohli, with some even describing the similarity as “scary.” One fan reacted, "Same to same but different," while another wrote, "This is no joke. The first time I saw this Doğan Bey character in Ertuğrul, I was like, what’s Kohli doing in a Turkish series? The resemblance is scary." Another fan quipped, "Virat, the moment he sees a random reel or post about him: Virat (in his head): Bro... can I breathe in peace, or should I check if my sneeze went viral too?" Finally, one wrote, "Don’t tell me he is NOT Virat but someone else. Damn!!!"

One fan could not stop laughing at a hilarious remark about Anushka: "What’s more hilarious is that Anushka will still not recognise him because of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (sic).”

Diriliş: Ertuğrul is a Turkish historical adventure series created by Mehmet Bozdağ. The show stars Engin Altan Düzyatan in the lead role as Ertuğrul Bey, alongside Cavit Çetin Güner, Kaan Taşaner, and Hülya Darcan. Set in the 13th century, the series chronicles the journey of Ertuğrul, the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Premiering in 2014, the show ran for five seasons before concluding in 2019.
