Sunny Deol Gets Real About 'Jaat', Pressure Post-Gadar 2 & Why He STILL Hates Dancing | EXCLUSIVE
In a candid moment with ETimes, Deol said, “I haven’t really thought about how old I am. I’m basically a sports guy. I’ve always been into sports, weight training came later. I take life like sports — that’s just the way I am.”Known for his raw intensity and physicality on screen, Deol continues to uphold that legacy in Jaat, where he has reportedly performed all of his own stunts. Talking about his fitness regime and upbringing, he shared, “Since childhood, we were used to waking up early — if we didn’t, we got slapped! So waking up at 5 or 6 am is a habit. We’ve always been into keeping fit.”Fans will remember his iconic “dhai kilo ka haath” dialogue from the 90s, a symbol of brute strength. But when asked if that power has grown with time, Deol humbly responded, “It’s not about 2.5 kilos of haath. It’s about how you portray your role and the strength of the character. If there is truth, then you can do anything.”Jaat marks Deol’s first film since the record-smashing Gadar 2, and expectations are sky-high. Also starring Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Singh, the film promises intense action, emotion, and powerful storytelling.
With advance bookings opening on Tuesday, two days before release, the excitement is building rapidly.Post this Sunny Deol has a string of releases lined up from Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 to Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan where he would be playing the role of Hanuman.
