Emraan Hashmi gets diagnosed with Dengue, halts shoot for Pawan Kalyan starrer 'OG': Report

Emraan Hashmi, currently filming his Telugu debut 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan in Mumbai, has been diagnosed with Dengue. While shooting in Aarey Colony, he experienced dengue-like symptoms, leading to a confirmed diagnosis and a doctor-advised rest. Production has been temporarily halted to allow for his recovery, with Hashmi expected to resume shooting for 'OG' after a week of recuperation.

Emraan Hashmi was last seen in 'Ground Zero' and the actor is currently shooting for his next with Pawan Kalyan. This is Hashmi's Telugu debut and the actor was shooting in Mumbai. However, while he was shooting in Mumbai, the actor started feeling unwell and was diagnosed with Dengue as per a recent report.A source was quoted by Bollywood Hungama saying, "Emraan Hashmi was shooting for OG in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai. That’s where he contracted the disease. He was not feeling well and had dengue-like symptoms. On the recommendation of the doctors, he got his tests done. The test confirmed that he is suffering from dengue.”The report further said, “He has been advised rest. Emraan, being a thorough professional, immediately told the makers about his condition and expressed regret over his inability to shoot. The makers understood the situation; they told him not to worry and that he should focus on his health as that comes first.”The report quoted the source concluding, “Emraan Hashmi is resting at home. There’s no clarity yet but he’ll probably be out of action for a week. Once he recuperates, he’ll resume shooting for OG.”
Emraan is playing the role of the antagonist in the film. This film titled 'The Call Him OG' or 'Simply OG' for now, is set to release in cinemas on September 25 this year. The film is directed by Sujeeth who had made the Prabhas starrer 'Saaho'. There was a lot of delay on the film and it was back on track but now the shoot has been on halt due to Emraan's health, till the actor completely recovers.
