Darren Criss, the ‘Maybe Happy Ending’ star, has been hailed as the Best Actor in a Musical at the Tony Awards 2025. While accepting the award, Criss dedicated the win to his hero - his wife, Mia.On June 8 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Darren Criss accepted the prize, and during the speech, he quipped, “A lot of humans got me here,” giving a nod to his robot character that he plays in the musical, according to People magazine.

Continuing the speech, the 38-year-old said, “The real hero about this for this remarkable journey is my wife, Mia, who took a massive swing on allowing me to do this,” honouring the woman he shares two kids with.

“To allow this crazy upheaval in our life, to make this logistically possible, and for bearing the brunt of raising two tiny friends under three, so that I could raise a singing robot at the Belasco Theatre eight times a week,” Criss added. Additionally, Darren Criss said, “You're the very pedestal that upholds the shiny spinny bit in our lives, and your love and your support for me and our beautiful children, combined with the miracle of working on something as magical as Maybe Happy Ending, has been and will always be award enough,” about the award, while spinning the wheel of his Tony statute.

The actor gave a shout-out to his co-star, Helen J Shen, stating that he was so proud of the “Broadway debut for the books. This is where you belong.” He thanked his parents, brother, and every teacher who ever taught him, which led to him being on the stage. Darren concluded, "Everybody out there, break a leg, and I'm gonna go celebrate with my favourite kind of people to party with: theatre people!"
