Itanagar: Director general of border roads (DGBR) Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan was on a three-day visit to Guwahati in Assam, and Tawang and West Kameng districts in Arunachal Pradesh from Dec 1 to 3 to review the progress of strategically important border roads, reports Joken Ete. During the visit, which concluded on Tuesday, he reviewed the roads through an aerial survey in Tawang district, defence PRO Lt Colonel Mahendra Rawat said. Two doctors among three killed in road mishap in Anantapur district
Three individuals from Bellary, including two doctors, were killed in a road accident near Vidapanakal in Anantapur district. Victims, returning from Hong Kong, collided with a tree due to fog at 4 am. One doctor remains critically injured. Authorities located the accident site using GPS from a victim's phone alert.

One dies in Arunachal road accident
A 34-year-old truck driver, Md Ali Khan, died in a road accident on the Itanagar-Naharlagun road due to brake failure. The truck, transporting tiles from Rajasthan to Itanagar, crashed, killing the driver on the spot, while the handyman, Md Junaid Khan, escaped uninjured. An FIR has been registered, and the case is being investigated.
