TIRUPATI: Police arrested five seasoned criminals involved in multiple house break-in offences and recovered stolen gold ornaments worth approximately Rs.75 lakh on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at Rayachoti on Friday, Annamayya district additional SP M Venkatadri told reporters that following two back to back house break-ins reported under the Mudivedu police station limits, the Madanapalle rural police and the CCS sleuths, who intensified their investigation, zeroed-in onto the accused near Kanasanivari Palle bus stop and arrested them on Friday.
The five accused identified as Palagiri Amir Sahil (26), Palagiri Sameer Ahmed (22), Kannemadugu Kishore (29), Mogasala Tirumalesh (27), Tekulapalem Arun Kumar (27), all residents of different parts of Annamayya district.
After the accused confessed to their crimes, police recovered gold ornaments weighing 835 grams and worth approximately Rs.75 lakh, two cutting blades, iron grills etc from the possession of the accused.
